Love To Read?

If you love to read books and like social networking have I found a website for you. It is www.goodreads.com and it is great. So this is how this works, "Goodreads is the largest social network for readers in the world. We have more than 4,100,000 members who have added more than 110,000,000 books to their shelves. A place for casual readers and bona-fide bookworms alike, Goodreads members recommend books, compare what they are reading, keep track of what they've read and would like to read, form book clubs and much more. Goodreads was launched in December 2006." It is the ultimate online library and its great to see all your books. After you sign up, you add all your books to your library. You rate your books and gt to read comments from follow readers that have already read that book. If you have not yet read a book and don't know if you should read it; there are comments about the book and you can make up your mind from there. There are discussion groups and you can discuss the book reading. You get to personalize your profile and you even get book recommendations depending on what your have read and what your library already holds. This is a great website to keep track of you reading. So go ahead and give it a try.

Having A Diva Moment Or Not?

The American Idol judge is not being at all friendly right now. It is being said that she is being selfish and that she is being hated now more than ever. All of this is coming from Jennifer Lopez telling contestants that she does not want them to sing her songs. “It was cute, super entertaining and flattering, but no,” she said to reporters Nov. 4 in Los Angeles. The contestants have been advised not sing her songs if they want to move on to the next round. Does anyone wonder why she doesn't want anyone singing her songs? Maybe she doesn't want someone to sing it better than her. Whatever the reason this has Jennifer Lopez being talked about and not in a good way.

Fat Flush

Fat Flush

Slim down fast like Liv Tyler, Anne Hathaway and Ellen Barkin.

Cleanse like the stars with this new plan.
Martin Mistretta

Trainer David Kirsch's star clients have to shed pounds pronto for red carpet events. And you? Your holiday schedule is already vertigo-inducing.

Get LBD-ready with Kirsch's new and improved 48HR Super Charged Cleanse, the same plan Anne Hathaway, Liv Tyler and Ellen Barkin use to get svelte in a snap. Unlike other lemonade-style detoxes, this pink drink adds milk thistle, cranberry and açai to the mix to speed toxins out of your body. Other ingredients like B vitamins help fight fatigue and hunger.

Our tester loved the pink lemonade flavor and how easy it was to prep. "I was more regular and less bloated," she said. But since it's so low-cal, you should skip workouts while on the plan.

LAW OF CORRESPONDENCE
Dr. Paul Nogier MD, a neurologist, spent 20 years from 1950 to about 1970 doing medical research. He rediscovered that the ears correspond to the whole body. The ear corresponds to an inverted fetus curled in the womb. The ear lobe corresponds to the head [ref: Nogier, Dr. Paul M. F., Handbook to Auriculotherapy, (France, 1981)]. The correspondence of the ear to the whole body was already recognized by the ancient Chinese acupuncturists and also to the great rishis (teachers) in India, who developed a technique to increase people’s intelligence. Now we know it worked because it was based on the principle of ear acupuncture.
THE ENERGY BODY
Clairvoyants, with the use of their psychic faculties, have observed that the physical body is surrounded and interpenetrated by a luminous energy body, which resembles the visible physical body. Clairvoyants call this the etheric double or etheric body. The “energy body” as they called it was first photographed by Russian scientists Semyon Davidovich Kirlian and his wife in 1939. With the aid of Kirlian photography, they observed, studied and photographed small bioplasmic articles* like the “light” or bioplasmic energy of the fingers, leaves, etc. It is through this energy body that prana or vital life energy is absorbed and distributed throughout the whole physical body [ref: Master Choa Kok Sui, Miracles Through Pranic Healing, (Phil, 1987), 5]
Prana or ki is the life energy which nourishes the whole physical body. The visible physical body is molded after the energy body. They are so closely related that what affects one affects the other. Without life energy, the body will die. If the energy body is depleted or congested, the physical body gets sick. When the physical body is healed, the corresponding energy body also gets healed. This may manifest gradually or may happen almost instantaneously if there are no interfering factors. The energy body, through energy centers (also known as chakras) , controls and is responsible for the proper functioning of the whole physical body including its different organs and parts.
Major energy centers are actually major acupuncture points. Energy centers are very important parts of the energy body.

Do You (or Should You) Have a Secret Bank Account?

Money can make life wonderful. It can also create tension.
According to a new study, 22% of British men and 11% of women have secret bank accounts that their partners have no knowledge of. But this isn’t new news: Last year, a U.S. woman sued Chase Bank for unintentionally notifying her husband of her private account, which held $800,000. (Oddly, in an “effort to save her marriage,” she gave him $155,000.) This all begs the question: Should you be squirreling your cash away?
“I’m the breadwinner, so I feel like I should have some cash stashed away to use for myself: clothing, dinner out with friends, etc., without my husband passing judgment,” says 31-year-old Sarah. The project manager says she feels the need to keep some money to herself, as her husband balances the couple’s checkbook.
Thirty-five-year-old stay-at-home mom Christine says it offers her security: “When I was practicing law, I set up businesses and always told my clients that as we plan the marriage (the set up of the business), we have to plan for the divorce (the unraveling of the business). Not a pleasant thought, and not what I hope would happen to anyone, but something to logically consider. If something were to ever happen between my husband and I (which I hope would not be the case!), I want to have some money available to me so that I can act independently.”
Christine, who handles the household finances, explains that she’s been sitting on the account for a long time, adding money she receives from birthdays and Christmas.
“The way I look at it, if nothing ever happens between us, it will be a great vacation in the future,” she adds.
What do you think? Is it smart—or just deceptively secretive—to keep a private bank account?

WHAT DO YOU THINK? LEAVE A COMMENT!
